Sharon’s passion for delivering outstanding customer service and her entrepreneurial spirit led to a career in Business Development, working across many different industries. She has also worked as a Recruitment Specialist and in addition, has established several of her own successful small businesses. Having worked in a diverse array of industries over the years and working in very ‘hands-on’ positions within small businesses, has resulted in her becoming quite multi-skilled.
Sharon has always had a passion for fashion and more importantly, for many years she had the desire to create a place where people could go to be pampered or to have a makeover. Sharon also had the desire to create a happy, harmonious workplace, where creative minds were encouraged, empowered and appreciated. To achieve this dream, Sharon studied both Beauty (including nail technology & make-up) as well as hairdressing. Carinya House of Hair & Beauty is the result of many years of business experience, caring about people, delivering an outstanding customer service experience and never giving up on her dreams.

Seeing my dream not only come alive after so many years, but seeing the impact such a beautiful space has on all those connected to it. I know that my staff love coming to work each day and that’s probably one of my greatest driving forces. I am so proud when I see the quality of work that my staff produce and when I watch them interact with our visitors in such a warm and professional manner.
One of the other things that makes me so passionate about Carinya House of Hair & Beauty is that is provides an opportunity for us to give back to the community. I am very proud of the work that we do to help others that are less fortunate and as we continue to grow, I intend extending the scope of our support.
I love seeing the fabulous colours and blow-dry’s that my staff achieve. I’m so proud of their amazing talent!
The 6th of August 2016, the day that we opened and my dream became reality.
Also, one day when I spent the day chatting to women from a local women’s shelter, whilst the girls gave them complete hair makeovers. I loved the time I spent listening to their story’s and sharing my own life story. I wanted to encourage them to never give-up on their dreams and I hope it gave them a little bit of confidence in the fact that almost anything is possible when you care enough about it and don’t give-up. It was also such a moment of pride as I watched my girls interacting with these ladies, with such genuine compassion and kindness.
Travelling within Australia and overseas, Painting, reading, making jewellery, resin artwork, knitting and many, many other arts and crafts. I am also very passionate about my friends and family and no day is better than when I’m spending time with those that I hold near and dear.
Australian Cancer Research Foundation, Sustainable Salons Australia, Salvation Army and various women’s shelters.
Carinya House of Hair & Beauty is here for you, it’s all about you and it wouldn’t exist without you. So, thank you to each guest that we have ever had in our salon, without your support, we would not be able to continue to provide a beautiful workplace for our staff and to help the local community. We will continue to thank you with the most wonderful service, every time you visit us. We hope that you continue to enjoy being our guest for many years to come.
Salon Manager – Hair
Having started working for a busy Westfield chain of salons at the age of 15; Danielle completed the first two years of her apprenticeship in this salon before deciding she wanted to work for a more exclusive, successful boutique salon.
However, believing that even the best haircut/style was not complete.
Without a big bouncy or super smooth blow-dry, Danielle first sought out a successful salon in Burwood that had the best reputation for blow-drying.
She honed her blow-drying skills with the best at Alan Coban, before landing a position with a salon that she had long desired to work with. Danielle finished her apprenticeship with this salon, Muse Hair in Sydney’s trendy Surrey Hills and continued working there until she decided to move to the Central Coast in 2014 to buy her first property.
After moving to the coast and working for several salons, Danielle decided that she wanted to offer more to her clients than what she felt was currently on offer. That thought process and Danielle’s drive and determination were directly behind the creation of Carinya House of Hair & Beauty.
Who knows what Danielle will continue to achieve throughout her career, what we are sure of, is that she will continue to grow and will always exceed the expectations of our Salon Guests.

Building close relationships with my clients and sharing ideas that get them excited about their hair. There’s no feeling better than seeing how confident my client is when they walk out of the salon and I know they really what I’ve done for them.
This is hard because I love everything about being a hairdresser. If I had to choose one thing, maybe Colour! I love changing colours, doing colour correction and experimenting with new blends of colour. I also love doing great blow-dry’s that last and I also really want all my clients to have healthy hair. I love it when a client takes my advice, ends-up with the colour that they wanted, but also maintains the condition of their hair.
Snow skiing, water skiing, painting and just relaxing with family and friends.
For many years, I’ve enjoyed giving up my time to cut hair for the homeless. I love doing what I can to help people when they are really at a low point in life.
I also introduced my Mum to Sustainable Salons Australia. Luckily, she shared my enthusiasm and thought it was worth the membership fees. Through this membership, not only did I do something to help protect our environment, but also to help feed the homeless as well.
To all my wonderful clients, I wouldn’t be where I am today without you all. It’s our beautiful guests that make the salon a happy, fun place to work. I’ve worked for very prestigious salons in Sydney, but I’ve never seen anything like the support that we’ve had from our salon guests since opening Carinya. Our salon guests go so far out of their way to support us, they are just are amazing!
Salon Manager – Beauty Services
Gabrielle began her career as a Beauty Therapist, completing her Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Salon Management.
After completing her studies, she worked at a very successful salon in Sydney, Aston Medispa.
Whilst Gabrielle thoroughly enjoyed her time at Aston Medispa and loved working as a Beauty Therapist she wanted to experience hairdressing as well so Gabrielle began a hairdressing apprenticeship with a very busy Westfield salon. Upon completion of her first year as an apprentice, she decided that to improve her skills and to gain the very best in training, she needed to move to a more exclusive salon. At the start of Gabrielle’s second year as an Apprentice Hairdresser, she secured a position with Salon East in Balmain, Sydney. Gabrielle completed her apprenticeship with Salon East, gaining not only exceptional skills but also understanding how to deliver the very best in customer service to her very particular salon guests.
In 2015, Gabrielle decided to make the move to the Central Coast as she wanted to be closer to family and wanted to buy her first home. Initially, Gabrielle continued to commute to Sydney for work, however after purchasing a new villa in Gorokan, she decided that it was time to work on the coast. After having worked for a couple of local salons, Gabrielle decided that she would go back to working in Sydney where she could offer the standard of service she was more comfortable with. That was one of the driving factors in creating Carinya House of Hair & Beauty.
Gabrielle has worked very hard to assist in creating a salon that offers exceptional services, in a luxurious environment, whilst remaining affordable.
